Coastal Concepts
Coastal Concepts was founded in 2020 out of a deep appreciation and love for outdoor spaces, particularly native and tropical landscapes. At Coastal Concepts, we strive to design & install landscapes with the future in mind. Our landscapes are thoughtfully designed to look and function as designed for years to come. Designing landscapes with the future in mind requires careful planning, plant placement and material choice. Landscapes are meant to add significant aesthetic appeal to a home, not pull from it. Our Process
Our process begins with an on site consultation with our prospective client to go over their vision, requirements and budget for the project. While on site, we examine existing conditions: such as layout, topography, soil quality and existing vegetation. From there, a carefully curated design and plan is developed based on client's preferences and overall site analysis. We then present concept sketches, material palettes and 3D designs to convey our proposed ideas. After this has been approved, we move into our material sourcing. All of our trees, plants and hardscape materials are hand picked directly from the farms and quarries. Next, we oversee that the construction is in perfect symmetry of the initial design, ensuring that everything is implemented per the plan. Our plant material is skillfully handled and installed, guaranteeing the best chance of not only surviving, but thriving. The final process includes fine tuning our installation: including installing ground cover, landscape lighting, underground drainage systems and decorative elements such as driftwood, air plants, boulders and furniture. A final walkthrough will be conducted with the client to review the completed project, ensuring that all elements of the design are integrated and functional. Maintenance instructions will be provided for future upkeep of the landscape. Preconstruction Design
A carefully curated design and plan will be created and presented to the client. This will be a 2D or 3D Design accompanied by a plant and hardscape palette, listing all products intended to be used.
Design & Construction Estimate
A Design and Construction estimate will be proposed, consisting of all materials intended to be used, labor and timelines.
On-Site Consultations
An on-site consultation will be conducted to discuss the client's vision, budget and requirements. We will assess site conditions such as existing elevation/topography, existing vegetation and overall layout.
Installation
Installation is carefully executed, ensuring plant material is installed in a manner where it will not only survive, but completely thrive.
